The National Taipei Teachers College was the winner of the first-ever korfball tournament in China. The event was organized by Atlas Sport
promotion company as part of their efforts to further develop korfball in China.
The matches of the event were played over a period of three days, and were joined by various demonstration matches between NTTC and a
selection from Hong Kong China. In addition, the players from Chinese Taipei and Hong Kong conducted various clinics, including a well attended
clinic at Beijing University. The final of the tournament was attended by about 200 people.
The event was carried by national Chinese television and Beijing regional television. Furthermore, a local Beijing radio station gave
extensive coverage for korfball.
