Korfball has been introduced to the university by Mr. Carlos Torres in cooperation with the President of KFB Marcelo Soares. The 50 university students, recently involved in handball, are keen to learn more about korfball and to prepare themselves for the tournament for brazilian university teams to be held in October 2006.

To support the building of korfball awareness, the Korfball Federation of Brazil uses the portal yourtube.com to make korfball-related videos available to the general public. University students in particular are a prospective target group for this channel of communication, thanks to their greater access to the internet.
