Mr Ton van der Weerd (Netherlands) visited Turku in Finland. He conducted korfball lessons in 3 primary schools attended by 250 pupils. The children and their teachers liked the mixed sport very much.
Ton conducted also clinics at the university of Turku. The Physical Education students were very interested and they had long discussions about our sport. Even more, local TV and newspapers paid attention to the korfball activities.
“Please, let us continue this project”, said Kimmo Ansamaa, Finnish project leader. A development plan will be made in the next months and submitted to the Development and Promotion Committee of the IKF.
