The British Korfball Association has announced the appointment of a new BKA chairperson.
The BKA Executive Committee has actively sought nominations since autumn for the post of Chairperson.
In this interim period the four remaining members of the committee have continued to do what has been necessary in the best interests of British Korfball, with Anna Jeanes taking the role of Acting Chairperson until an appropriate candidate could be appointed.
The BKA ExCo is now delighted to announce that they have accepted the nomination of Corinne Buckland to the post of BKA Chairperson. Corinne will take on the responsibilities of the post with immediate effect.
Corinne has played Korfball at the highest level for more years than even she would care to remember, having started playing at a very young age and only retiring from representing Great Britain at the last World Championships. Corinne, therefore, brings with her a wealth of Korfball knowledge, as well as a large number of contacts, and this will be a huge boost to the continued development of the sport in these exciting times.
Corinne's contact details will shortly appear on the BKA Website.
