On 6 September 2008 at Paralia Korinos the first Hellenic Beach Korfball championships took place. The winners were the team of A.C. ARIS - EPINOISIS who beat S.C. SARISA MAKEDONIAS 40-21 in the final. In the third place was the team CTHULHU.
At the same venue on the same day, an international beach korfball match took place between the junior national teams (U17) of Greece and Georgia. The final score was 6-5 to Georgia with top scorer Konstantin Sarisvili who also plays for the senior national team of Georgia.
