The tournament matches played on Thursday, April 20, (cross finals) and Saturday, April 22, (ranking matches) will be covered by live webcast.
The production team, already experienced from the Europa Cup final round (see videos in the archive at www.korfball.tv), is getting ready give some new punch to its performance. There will be commentary for the matches from experienced British coach Tom Brady. With new viewing arrangements in the hall, the korfball tournament will look and feel more professional.
Korfball clubs, groups and even families are encouraged to find a good place to enjoy the live tournament coverage together. You will be able to view the video on a TV screen or through a data projector placed in a club house or in a large room. Be sure to prepare your viewing setup ahead of time, so that you're ready when the tournament begins. You can test the speed of the connection and quality of the image beforehand using the viewing archives at korfball.tv, where the streaming has the same quality as the webcast.
As of now, it is unclear whether only Real Media streaming will be used or some other format (Windows Media, Quicktime), because the choice depends on the quality of the connection from the hall, which is still being checked. Please excuse any unexpected technical problems in the first hours of the webcast. Any difficulties will be definitely be fixed by the final day's webcast.
The Hungarian Korfball Association, which is organizing the tournament, is putting enormous effort into supporting this project. The webcast is produced by a team of volunteers from the Audio-Visual Centre Silicon Hill, Prague, Czech Republic, and sponsored by the Visegrad Fund and the IKF.
