The International Korfball Federation is very sad to announce the untimely and fully unexpected death of Mr Frank de Boer, who passed away on Sunday evening 25 October 2009 in Antwerp (BEL) after a very tragic bike accident. He was underway by bike from the clubhouse of his club, Meeuwen K.V., to his home. He was only 58 years of age.

Mr Frank de Boer was the current chair of the IKF Auditing Committee and has served the Auditing Committee for six years with great dedication and commitment. Frank was a very respected korfball volunteer in his club - former club president - and active in the KBKB as well. He was very committed to our sport.

The IKF will remember Frank with vivid memories of his accomplishments for his great involvement and personality and with great sadness for his death. The IKF presents its deepest condolences to his family.
