At the starting day of the 2010 IKF Europa Cup finals, the Dutch and Belgian champions have left nothing unclear of their intentions: reaching the final.

The Dutch champion hammered Clube Corfebol de Oeiras, last year still winner of the bronze medal, but now severely weakened due to the departure of star player Ines Biocas. The Dutch managed to score 45 goals, with Casper Boom scoring 11 and André Kuipers 9. In similar fashion, Belgian champion Boeckenberg KC beat the English champion Trojans by 31-12. Gert Degenaars was the best scorer, making 9 goals for the Antwerp club that saw Davor Duronjic leave for the Netherlands before the start of the current season.
